We’re all well aware that fast fashion is TERRIBLE for the planet. But for many of us, who are from lower-middle to working-class backgrounds, we don’t have the luxury to shop from sustainable brands as they can be expensive.

So for those of you who want to reduce harm to the planet by consuming less fast fashion. Keep reading as I have good tips that can help ๐Ÿ˜˜

Fast fashion trends can be fun. Howeverrrrr if they cause you to buy clothes, you WON’T wear again, It ain’t worth it. I would suggest only investing in trends that you know you would wear, even if that trend went out of style. And even then, I would still be frugal when shopping as it’s still fast fashion.

Versatility is a MUST!

Try to have versatile clothing pieces. As not only does that mean you get the most wear out of them. It also results in you purchasing fewer fast-fashion items. Because you won’t need separate clothing items for different occasions.

Good examples of clothes that are versatile include t-shirts. These can be worn during any season. You can layer a t-shirt with a coat or jacket during Autumn or Winter. Or just wear it on its own when it’s Spring or Summer. Another example is floral dresses. I personally love floral dresses because, with the right accessories, you have an outfit ready for a wedding or for a casual brunch date with your friends or your bae ๐Ÿ˜‰

Buy What you Don’t Already Own

Now, this may seem like an obvious thing to do. But you’ll be surprised by the number of people who don’t do this! Heck, I’m even guilty of this ๐Ÿ˜…

Overall, try to only buy clothes and shoes that you don’t already own. Or at least if you’re going to buy something you own already, let it be one backup piece. As ultimately buying, the same thing can be a waste of money. And as we don’t have much cash, let’s be wise with it.

  1. Exactly Itaborchiz, I agree with this amazing advice you stated here. Fast fashion is cool and there are some who have the luxury to buy such brands but when it comes to style and versatility fast Fashion is a waste and it is not needed.

Thus sticking to your personal style is always recommended. I too love simple versatile pieces such as T-shirts that can be dressed up or down

As for fast fashion I too would be frugal or reluctant in spending my money shopping them๐Ÿ‘Œ
